Get the Agras T50 if you cover large acreage: it carries twice the liquid (40 L) and twice the granule load (50 kg), and sprays up to 11 m wide, so you refill and turn less. Get the Agras T25 if you work smaller or scattered fields, orchards or hillsides, or want one person to handle the drone and batteries: it weighs 32 kg with its battery versus 52 kg, and its battery is about half the weight. Both share the same top flow rate, radar and terrain follow, and both are sold by quote.

The key differences
Capacity. The T50's 40 L tank and wider spray swath mean fewer landings per field. On big, open fields, that's the main source of extra acres per day. With the same 24 L/min top flow, the T25 empties its tank in about half the time, so it lands twice as often.
Size and handling. The T25 weighs 32 kg ready to fly, and its battery weighs about 6.6 kg. The T50 weighs 52 kg, with a battery around 12.1 kg. If one person runs the operation, or you move between many small fields, the T25 is much easier to live with.
Support gear. The bigger battery needs more charging power. Both charge in 9 to 12 minutes on DJI's fast charging setup, but a T50 crew moves twice the battery weight on every swap and needs a bigger generator: DJI lists the D12000iE for the T50 and the D6000i for the T25.
What's the same. Both use the same front and rear phased-array radar, both sense obstacles at up to 10 m/s, both follow terrain on slopes up to 50°, and both share the same top flow rate and wind limit.
How to choose
- Large, open row-crop fields: T50.
- Orchards, vineyards, specialty crops and irregular fields: T25.
- Hills: either; terrain follow is the same.
- One-person operation or frequent moves: T25.
- Custom application at scale: T50, often with a T25 as a second drone for small jobs.
Legal requirements are the same
Both weigh over 55 lb when loaded, so both need FAA aircraft registration, a Part 107 certificate for each pilot, an FAA Part 137 operator certificate and a 49 U.S.C. 44807 exemption, plus a state pesticide applicator license where required. See spray drone license.
Common mistakes
- Buying on tank size alone. If your fields are small, a bigger tank mostly adds weight you have to carry.
- Underbuying batteries. Plan at least three per drone.
- Ignoring altitude. DJI says to reduce payload by 5 kg (T25) or 10 kg (T50) per 1,000 m of elevation.
Quick answers
Is the T25 just a small T50? Largely, yes. It shares the T50's sensing and spraying system in a four-rotor, 20 L airframe.
Can I use T25 batteries in a T50? No. They use different batteries: DB800 for the T25 and DB1560 for the T50.
