How long does the Mini 5 Pro fly?
DJI rates the Mini 5 Pro at 36 minutes per battery in calm conditions. Expect roughly 29–31 minutes of real flying, since you land with some battery left and wind shortens flights. With the three batteries in the Fly More Combo, that's about 108 rated minutes per outing.
What's the Mini 5 Pro's range?
The video link reaches up to 12.4 mi under ideal, interference-free conditions (FCC). In the US you must keep the drone within your own visual line of sight, so in practice you'll fly much closer than that. The long range mainly means a stronger, more stable video signal.
Do you need to register the Mini 5 Pro?
At 249 g it's under 250 g, so you don't need to register it with the FAA for recreational flying. If you fly it for business under Part 107, you must register it. Note: with the larger Intelligent Flight Battery Plus it weighs more than 250 g, so then it must be registered. Our FAA registration guide walks through it.
