No. The DJI Mavic 3 Pro doesn't work with DJI Goggles 3 or DJI Goggles N3. DJI's FAQ says the Mavic 3 series is compatible only with DJI Goggles 2, DJI Goggles Integra and the DJI RC Motion 2. DJI added that support in the April 2023 firmware (v01.01.0100). If you want a goggles view from a Mavic 3 Pro, you need one of those older headsets.

What works with the Mavic 3 Pro
| Device | Works? |
|---|---|
| DJI Goggles 2 | Yes |
| DJI Goggles Integra | Yes |
| DJI RC Motion 2 | Yes |
| DJI Goggles 3 | No |
| DJI Goggles N3 | No |
| RC Motion 3, FPV Remote Controller 3 | No |
| DJI RC, DJI RC Pro, RC-N1 (screen and phone controllers) | Yes |
Goggles 3 and N3 were designed for newer drones such as the Avata 2 and Neo. DJI hasn't listed the Mavic 3 Pro for them, and the newer O4 controllers (RC 2, RC-N3, RC Pro 2) don't pair either. See Mavic 3 Pro controllers and our DJI goggles compatibility page.
How to set it up with Goggles 2 or Integra
DJI's release notes say every device must be on current firmware before it will link:
- Update the drone through its controller in DJI Fly. Goggles support needs DJI Fly v1.10.0 or later.
- Update the goggles and RC Motion 2. Power them on, connect the goggles' USB-C port to your phone, open DJI Fly and go to Profile > Device Management. Pick the goggles and choose Firmware Update. DJI Assistant 2 (Consumer Drones Series) on a computer also works.
- Link the drone to the goggles and the goggles to the motion controller, following DJI's Consumer Drones and Goggles Compatibility Information on the Mavic 3 Pro downloads page.
- Check camera settings. DJI notes that settings reset after a firmware update.
If an update fails, restart the drone, controller and app, then retry.
What changes when you fly in goggles
Flying a Mavic 3 Pro through Goggles 2 or Integra gives you an immersive view, but the drone is still a camera platform, not an FPV racer. Limits from DJI's manual and US rules:
- FocusTrack is unavailable with goggles. That means no ActiveTrack, Spotlight or Point of Interest.
- Visual line of sight still applies. In the US, if you wear goggles, the FAA requires a visual observer next to you who keeps the drone in sight.
- Remote ID needs your location. DJI's manual lists Goggles 2 among devices without built-in GNSS, so a connected phone running DJI Fly must supply it. Check that Remote ID shows as working before takeoff.
Should you buy goggles for a Mavic 3 Pro?
For most owners, no. The Mavic 3 Pro shines with a screen controller, where you can frame carefully, switch between its 24 mm, 70 mm and 166 mm cameras and set exposure. Goggles 2 and Integra are older models and may be hard to find new.
Goggles make sense if you already own a pair from a DJI Avata or older kit. Then pairing them with your Mavic 3 Pro is a nice extra for scenic cruising.
If immersive flying is the point, an FPV drone fits better. Our Avata 2 standard kit ($934) includes Goggles 3 and the RC Motion 3. See Avata 2 goggles.
A better view without goggles
For framing in bright sun, the DJI RC Pro with its 1,000-nit screen does more for a Mavic 3 Pro pilot than goggles. It also has a mini-HDMI output for a client monitor. The standard DJI RC included in our kits has a 5.5-inch screen.
Common mistakes
- Buying Goggles 3 for a Mavic 3 Pro. They won't link.
- Skipping firmware updates. Out-of-date devices won't pair.
- Expecting tracking in goggles. FocusTrack is off while you wear them.
- Flying with goggles and no spotter. A visual observer is required in the US.
