DJI Agras spray drones are sold by quote, not at a fixed list price, because the total depends on how many batteries you buy, how you charge them, and which spraying, spreading and support options you add. The drone itself is only part of the cost. A working setup also needs several flight batteries, a generator or high-power charger, a way to haul water and chemicals, licensing and specialist insurance. The Agras lineup
| Drone | Spray tank | Spread tank | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Agras T20P | 20 L | 35 L | Small farms, one-person setup |
| Agras T25 | 20 L | 35 L | Smaller fields, orchards, scattered jobs |
| Agras T50 | 40 L | 75 L | Row crops and most custom applicators |
| Agras T100 | 100 L | 150 L | Large acreage, spreading and lifting |
The T50 uses coaxial twin rotors and front and rear phased-array radar. The T100 adds LiDAR to its radar and vision sensing and can carry a lifting system for up to 100 kg.
What goes into the total cost
The aircraft and controller. Includes the spray system, remote and standard accessories.
Flight batteries. Plan on enough to keep one flying, one cooling and one charging. The T50's DB1560 battery is 30,000 mAh (1,567 Wh) and weighs about 12.1 kg; the T25 uses the smaller DB800. The T100 uses the DB2160. DJI warrants the DB1560 for 1,500 cycles or 12 months, whichever comes first, so batteries are a recurring cost.
Charging. DJI's D12000iE generator charges a DB1560 in about 9 to 12 minutes in lab tests and runs on unleaded gasoline. The C10000 charger is an alternative, but on 100 to 120 V power its output is limited to 3,000 W, so most US crews use a generator in the field.
Ground support. Water tanks, a transfer pump, a mixing station, and a trailer or truck. See spray drone trailer setup.
Spreading or other kits. Spreader systems for seed and granular fertilizer cost extra.
Licensing and insurance. Part 107, the FAA exemption and Part 137 process, a state applicator license, and liability that covers chemical application. See spray drone license.
Maintenance and parts. Nozzles, pumps, propellers and strainers wear. DJI's manual recommends replacing the delivery pump after 500 hours and propellers after 700 hours.
Tariffs and the FCC
Imported drones have carried a Section 232 tariff since September 3, 2026, which affects what new aircraft cost. Agras models authorized before the FCC's December 2025 cutoff remain legal to buy and fly. A July 2026 FCC proposal would restrict further import and sale of spray drones; it is not adopted. See is DJI banned in the US.
Will it pay for itself?
Custom drone spraying averaged about $12.50 per acre in Iowa State University's 2026 survey, chemicals extra. Divide your full system cost by the acres you can realistically spray each season to see your payback. See drone spraying cost per acre, or consider renting vs buying and financing.
