Best DJI drone bags and cases (Neo, Flip, Mini and FPV)

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

For a DJI Mini, Flip or Neo, a small shoulder bag like the DJI Mini Shoulder Bag ($43) is the best everyday choice: it holds the drone, controller and three batteries without bulk. For an Avata 2 FPV kit, the DJI Sling Bag ($98) is made to carry the drone, goggles, motion controller, hub and three batteries. Choose a hard case when gear goes in a truck bed or checked luggage, and a camera backpack if you carry a drone alongside a camera.

Which drone bag do you need?
A soft bag is enough for most trips. Hard cases protect gear you can't watch, but drone batteries still go in your carry-on when flying.

DJI Mini bags

The DJI Mini Shoulder Bag works with the Mini 4 Pro, Mini 3, Mini 5 Pro and Mini 2 SE. It fits the drone, the controller and three batteries. Most Mini Fly More Combos already include a shoulder bag, so check what you have before buying another.

What to look for in any Mini bag:

  • Room for the controller you use. The DJI RC 2 with its screen is bulkier than the RC-N series.
  • A slot for the charging hub, which is the easiest way to carry three batteries.
  • A separate pocket for props, ND filters and cables.

DJI Flip bag

The Flip's built-in guards make its folded shape different from a Mini's, so Mini bags may not fit it well. The Flip Fly More Combo includes a shoulder bag. If you bought the standard kit, measure the folded drone and your controller, and look for a padded bag with a battery compartment.

DJI Neo case

The Neo is small enough for a jacket pocket, but its guards and camera are exposed. A small padded pouch or hard-shell case protects it in a backpack. The Neo is 135 g, so weight isn't a concern; protecting the gimbal and propellers is.

FPV: Avata 2 kits

The DJI Sling Bag holds one Avata 2, DJI Goggles 3, the RC Motion 3, a two-way charging hub and three batteries. It's included in the Avata 2 Fly More Combo and sold separately for $98. Goggles are the most fragile part of an FPV kit, so keep the lenses covered.

Hard cases

Hard cases make sense for work trucks, boats, airline checked luggage and multi-drone kits. Look for:

  • Custom-cut or pick-and-pluck foam that holds each item.
  • A pressure valve if you'll fly with it.
  • A size that fits overhead bins if you want to carry it on.

Remember that spare drone batteries can't go in checked bags. Pull them out and carry them on. See traveling with a drone.

Battery bags

LiPo safety bags are fire-resistant pouches for storing and charging batteries. They're a sensible extra for travel and storage, but they don't change airline rules: spare lithium batteries go in your carry-on with terminals protected. DJI drone batteries we sell are under 100 Wh, so no airline approval is needed for them. See drone battery care.

Camera bags for drone users

Make one compartment for the drone and controller and one for batteries.
