The best drone accessories for new pilots are, in order: spare batteries, a charging hub, a fast microSD card, an ND filter set, a carry bag and propeller guards if you'll fly indoors or are still learning. If you haven't bought your drone yet, a Fly More Combo usually bundles the batteries, hub and bag for less than buying them separately.

1. Spare batteries
Flight time is the limit on every drone. One battery gives you one or two short flights; three give you a real session. Our Mini-series batteries start at $109 (Mini 4 Pro battery), and a Neo battery is $65. Buy genuine DJI batteries; they report health and cycles to the app.
Note for Mini pilots: Plus batteries add flight time but push most Minis over 250 g, which means FAA registration for recreational flying.
2. A two-way charging hub
The Mini 4 Pro / Mini 3 Two-Way Charging Hub ($54) holds three batteries and charges them in sequence from one USB-C charger. It also works as a power bank to top up your phone or controller in the field. Other models have their own hubs, such as the Neo hub ($38).
3. A fast microSD card
Use a card DJI recommends for your drone, typically UHS-I U3/V30 or faster. Slow cards cause dropped recordings at 4K. Carry a spare.
4. ND filters
If you shoot video in daylight, ND filters let you use a slower shutter for natural motion blur. The Mini 5 Pro ND set (ND8/32/128) is $61. See which ND filter for drones.
5. A bag
The DJI Mini Shoulder Bag ($43) holds a Mini, its controller and three batteries, and fits the Mini 4 Pro, Mini 3, Mini 5 Pro and Mini 2 SE. More options: best drone bags and cases.
6. Propeller guards
The Mini 4 Pro 360° Propeller Guard ($32) fully surrounds the props. DJI recommends it for beginners and indoor flying. Guards add weight and drag, so expect shorter flights and worse wind handling.
Also worth considering
- A screen controller. The DJI RC 2 ($406) has a built-in 5.5-inch screen, so you don't need your phone. See best drones with a screen controller.
- Spare propellers. Cheap and easy to chip. Keep a set in your bag.
- A landing pad for sand, grass and dust. See do you need a drone landing pad.
- DJI Care Refresh for accidental damage. See DJI Care Refresh.
Agriculture drone accessories
Spray drones run on large batteries and need a serious charging setup in the field, usually extra batteries and a generator or charging station, plus spare nozzles and props. Requirements vary by model, so contact us for an Agras quote with the right accessories.
