No. DJI's consumer drones have fixed lenses that you can't swap. To change the view, you have three options: clip on one of DJI's wide-angle lenses (sold for the Mini 4 Pro and Air 3S), choose a drone with more than one camera for telephoto shots (Air 3S, Mavic 4 Pro), or step up to the Inspire 3, the DJI drone with true interchangeable lenses.

What lens each drone has
| Drone | Main camera | Extra cameras |
|---|---|---|
| DJI Mini 4 Pro | 24 mm equivalent, 82.1° FOV | None |
| DJI Mini 5 Pro | 24 mm equivalent, 84° FOV | None |
| DJI Air 3S | 1" sensor, 24 mm, 84° FOV, f/1.8 | 70 mm medium tele, 35° FOV, f/2.8 |
| DJI Mavic 4 Pro | 4/3 Hasselblad, 28 mm, 72° FOV, f/2.0 to f/11 | 70 mm and 168 mm teles, f/2.8 |
The Mini models use digital zoom for closer framing, which crops the image. Multi-camera drones switch to a real tele lens, so a 70 mm or 168 mm shot keeps full quality and compresses distance between foreground and background.
DJI's wide-angle lenses
DJI makes clip-on wide-angle lenses that fit over the main camera:
- Mini 4 Pro Wide-Angle Lens: expands the photo field of view from 82.1° to 114° and video from 75° to 100° (16:9). It weighs 2.3 g and is listed at $39 on DJI's US store.
- Air 3S Wide-Angle Lens: expands the wide camera to 114°. It weighs 11.8 g and is listed at $69 on DJI's US store.
Things to know before you buy:
- Air 3S: DJI's manual says to unfold the arms and make sure the gimbal is level and facing forward before powering on, so the drone can detect the lens. Pano and Asteroid modes aren't available with it fitted.
- Mini 4 Pro: the lens adds weight to a drone that sits just under 250 g. If you fly recreationally without registering, check your total takeoff weight.
- Mini 5 Pro: when we checked in October 2026, DJI's US store didn't list a wide-angle lens for it.
Why not third-party lenses?
Aftermarket lenses and filters that aren't designed for your drone can upset the gimbal's balance, cause "gimbal motor overloaded" errors, or soften the image at the edges. Stick to lenses and ND filters made for your exact model. See gimbal motor overloaded and ND filters for long exposure.
Need interchangeable lenses?
The DJI Inspire 3 uses the full-frame Zenmuse X9-8K Air camera with interchangeable DL-mount lenses. It's a professional cinema drone sold by quote. For FPV, the Avata 2 has a fixed ultra-wide camera (155° FOV, 12 mm equivalent), and the O4 Air Unit's camera is fixed at 117.6° (14 mm equivalent).
Which to choose
- Want wider landscapes on a budget: Mini 4 Pro plus the wide-angle lens.
- Want a natural tele look: Air 3S, with its 70 mm camera.
- Want the most focal lengths: Mavic 4 Pro, from 28 mm to 168 mm.
