The DJI FlyCart 30 carries up to 30 kg with two batteries or 40 kg with one battery. With a full 30 kg load on two batteries, DJI rates it at 16 km of range and 18 minutes of flight. With 40 kg on one battery, range drops to 8 km. Empty, it reaches 28 km on two batteries. Those figures come from DJI's tests at sea level with no wind, so real routes with wind, altitude or heat will be shorter.

Payload and range from DJI's specs
| Dual battery | Single battery | |
|---|---|---|
| Max cargo | 30 kg | 40 kg |
| Max flight distance at max cargo | 16 km | 8 km |
| Max flight time at max cargo | 18 min | 9 min |
| Hover at max cargo | 18 min | 8 min |
| Max flight distance, empty | 28 km | 12 km |
| Hover, empty | 29 min | 15 min |
The trade-off is simple. Each DB2000 battery weighs about 11.3 kg. Removing one frees up weight for 10 more kg of cargo, but you lose more than half the range.
Key limits
- Aircraft weight: 42.5 kg without batteries, 65 kg with two DB2000s.
- Max takeoff weight: 95 kg at sea level, including cargo.
- Max speed: 20 m/s with a 30 kg payload.
- Wind: 12 m/s max.
- Max altitude: 6,000 m without payload.
- Operating temperature: -20° to 45° C.
- Rating: IP55.
Cargo box vs winch
Cargo mode uses the cargo case. Its inner space is 573 × 416 × 305 mm, it holds 0 to 40 kg, and it has a built-in weighing feature.
Winch mode uses the optional winch system for drops where the drone can't land, like rooftops, slopes or across water:
- Payload: 5 to 30 kg on dual battery, 5 to 40 kg on single battery
- Cable length: 20 m
- Max retraction speed: 0.8 m/s
- Features: touchdown release, swing control, weighing, and cut cable protection
Batteries and charging
The DB2000 holds 38,000 mAh at 52.22 V, or 1,984.4 Wh. The C8000 charger has two output channels and up to 7,200 W with dual input (3,600 W on single input). The battery self-heats in the cold.
Safety features
FlyCart 30 has a built-in parachute rated for the full 95 kg, with a minimum opening height of 60 m. It also has forward and backward phased array radar, binocular vision, and ADS-B. The DJI RC Plus supports dual operator mode, so two pilots can share control of a mission.
Is FlyCart 30 right for you?
It fits regular deliveries of tools, parts, supplies or equipment over terrain that's slow by road: mountains, islands, construction sites, power line corridors and disaster areas. It's a large aircraft, and US operators generally need Part 107 plus FAA approvals for operations above 55 lb. Plan the paperwork with your use case before you buy.
For setup, approvals and use cases, see our FlyCart 30 guide and Part 107 weight limit. FlyCart 30 is sold by quote: call 1-800-613-6323, shop the DJI FlyCart 30, or browse delivery drones.
