For DJI Mavic 3 Pro D-Log M footage, use DJI's official "DJI Mavic 3 D-Log M to Rec.709 V1" LUT. For D-Log footage from the Hasselblad camera, use "DJI Mavic 3 D-Log to Rec.709 V1" or the more saturated "vivid" version. All three are free .cube files on the Mavic 3 Pro downloads page, and they work in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro.

Which profile each camera records
| Camera | D-Log M | D-Log | HLG |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hasselblad 24 mm | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| 70 mm medium tele | Yes | No | Yes |
| 166 mm tele | Yes | No | Yes |
That table is the key to grading the Mavic 3 Pro. If you plan to cut between cameras, shoot D-Log M on all three and use one LUT for the whole timeline. Mixing D-Log from the main camera with D-Log M from the teles means two different conversions and more matching work.
Where to download the LUTs
- Open the Mavic 3 Pro downloads page.
- In the software section, find the LUTs. DJI lists the D-Log M LUT (April 2023), the D-Log LUT and the D-Log vivid LUT.
- Download the .cube files. They're named "Mavic 3" because the same files cover the Mavic 3 series cameras.
How to apply the LUT
DaVinci Resolve
- Project Settings, Color Management, Lookup Tables, Open LUT Folder. Copy the files in and click Update Lists.
- Balance exposure and white balance on the first node.
- Add the LUT on a second node from the right-click LUT menu.
Premiere Pro
- In Lumetri Color, Basic Correction, set Input LUT to Browse and choose the file.
- Adjust exposure and white balance below it.
Final Cut Pro
- Add the Custom LUT effect to the clip.
- In the Inspector, choose the LUT file from the menu.
Matching the three cameras
The three cameras use different sensors (4/3, 1/1.3-inch and 1/2-inch), so even with the same LUT you'll see small differences in noise, contrast and color. To match them:
- Lock white balance to the same Kelvin value on every camera before you fly.
- Expose all three the same way, using the histogram, at the lowest ISO the profile allows (100 for D-Log M).
- Grade the Hasselblad clip first, then match the tele clips to it with small saturation and contrast tweaks.
- Add noise reduction to the 166 mm if you raised ISO. Its small sensor gets noisy first.
Tips for cleaner grades
- Correct before the LUT, not after. The LUT expects properly exposed log input.
- Protect highlights. Log footage hides clipped skies until you grade.
- Use ND filters instead of raising ISO or shutter speed; see Mavic 3 Pro ND filters.
- Add creative looks after DJI's conversion LUT, not instead of it.
When to skip log
If you won't grade, record Normal color for a finished look. For HDR screens, HLG is quicker than grading log. On the Cine version, ProRes keeps more data for heavy grading, but it uses the same LUTs.
