When DJI Fly shows error code 30210 with a "power system hardware error" message, the drone has found a fault in its power system: the motors, the electronic speed controllers (ESCs) that drive them, or the battery supply feeding them. DJI Fly blocks takeoff until it clears. Restart the drone with the battery properly seated, try a second battery, and check the motors. If it comes back, stop flying and contact DJI.

What "power system" covers
On a DJI drone the power system is everything that turns battery power into thrust:
- The Intelligent Flight Battery and its connection to the drone
- The ESC board, which drives each motor at the speed the flight controller asks for
- The four motors
- The propellers
DJI doesn't publish a public list that decodes each numbered error code. Treat the text that appears with the code as the real message, and note the code for DJI support.
Fixes to try, in order
- Restart cleanly. Power off, remove the battery, check the contacts, and reinsert it until it clicks. On the Mini 3 and Mini 4 Pro, battery LEDs 3 and 4 blinking together means the battery isn't seated. Then power the drone on and let it finish its self-test.
- Swap the battery. Try a second, fully charged battery. If the error disappears, the first battery or its contacts is the problem. See DJI battery error.
- Check every motor. With the drone off, spin each motor slowly by hand. DJI's guidance for a motor that won't start is to check for sand or dust inside it, clean it, and send the drone in if a motor won't turn smoothly.
- Check the propellers. DJI lists wrongly mounted propellers as a cause of motor start failures. Replace any chipped or bent blade and put marked props on marked motors. See how to change DJI propellers.
- Dry it out. If the drone got wet, stop powering it on. Read drone fell in water.
- Update firmware for the drone, battery and controller in DJI Fly. A half-finished update can leave parts on mismatched versions. See how to update DJI firmware.
Error 30210 on the DJI Mini 3
The Mini 3 has small screw-on propellers and motors close to the ground, so grass, sand and grit landings are a common trigger. Clean the motors first. Mini 3 owners searching this code often also see an ESC warning: the fixes overlap, and our Mini 3 ESC error page covers that model in detail.
When it needs repair
Send the drone in if:
- The error returns after a restart, a second battery and a firmware update
- A motor grinds, stutters, or runs much hotter than the others
- The error started after a crash, a hard landing or water exposure
- The drone twitches, beeps oddly or won't spin up a motor
Note when and where the error appeared. If it showed up in flight, DJI support can read the flight record. A motor or ESC replacement is a DJI service job, and crash or water damage is covered by DJI Care Refresh if you have a plan. Our repair page explains how we open a case with DJI for you, and DJI ESC error and motor not spinning covers the closely related ESC warnings.
