DJI Mic 2 most often fails to connect to an Osmo Pocket 3 because the transmitter is still in receiver mode (green light) instead of Bluetooth mode (blue light). Start linking on the Pocket 3 under Wireless Mic, hold the transmitter's record button for three seconds to switch to Bluetooth, then hold its linking button for two seconds. A solid blue light means it's connected.

How the connection works
The Pocket 3 doesn't use the Mic 2 receiver. Each transmitter links straight to the camera over Bluetooth, and the Pocket 3 can take two transmitters at once (TX1 and TX2). A transmitter can only be in one mode at a time:
- Green light: receiver mode, looking for the Mic 2 receiver
- Blue light: Bluetooth mode, which the Pocket 3 needs
Pressing and holding the record button for three seconds switches between them.
Link step by step
From DJI's Osmo Pocket 3 manual:
- On the Pocket 3, swipe down from the top of the screen, tap the settings icon, and select Wireless Mic > TX1 (or TX2). The camera is now waiting.
- Press and hold the transmitter's power button for two seconds to turn it on.
- If the transmitter's light is green, hold the record button for three seconds to switch to Bluetooth mode.
- Press and hold the linking button for two seconds. The light blinks blue quickly while it searches.
- When it turns solid blue, the camera shows the connection. Press the transmitter's linking button to start and stop recording on the camera.
If you bought the Pocket 3 and Mic 2 transmitter together as a combo, they're linked already, and the transmitter connects automatically when powered on.
Still won't connect
- Update both devices. DJI added Mic 2 features to the Pocket 3 in firmware updates that also list a minimum transmitter firmware. Update the Pocket 3 in the DJI Mimo app, and update the transmitter by computer: see DJI Mic 2 firmware update.
- Unlink it elsewhere. A transmitter already connected to a phone over Bluetooth won't pair with the camera. Turn off the phone's Bluetooth or forget DJI-MIC2.
- Use the right slot. If TX1 is taken, link the second mic as TX2.
- Restart both. Power cycle the camera and the transmitter, then start again from step 1.
- Charge it. A solid red light means 0 to 10% battery.
Connected but no or poor audio
Once linked, open Wireless Microphone in the Pocket 3 settings to set monitor volume, Low Cut and 32-bit float backup. Turn on Audio-to-video Sync if you want the transmitter to record its own backup WAV while the camera records. The Pocket 3 can also keep a separate backup from its built-in mics with Built-in Mic Audio Backup. For setup tips, see Osmo Pocket 3 wireless mic.
Want the gear? The DJI Mic 2 pairs with the Osmo Pocket 3 without the receiver, so one transmitter clipped to your shirt is all you need.
