For most buyers, yes. The DJI Flip Fly More Combo costs $374 more than the standard kit here ($857 vs $483) and adds the DJI RC 2 screen controller in place of the RC-N3, two extra batteries, the Parallel Charging Hub, a shoulder bag and two more pairs of spare props. Buying the RC 2 and those extras separately costs more than the difference. Choose the standard kit if you'll mostly fly short hops from your palm or phone.

DJI also sells a Flip with the RC 2 and a single battery. Ask us if you'd like that kit.
The value math
The combo adds:
- DJI RC 2: we sell it separately for $406. The RC-N3 alone is $142.
- Two extra batteries: $109 each here.
- The hub and bag.
Even before the hub and bag, the RC 2 upgrade and two batteries add up to more than the $374 gap.
RC-N3 vs RC 2
- RC-N3: clamps your phone as the screen. Lighter on your wallet, but it ties up your phone and its battery.
- DJI RC 2: built-in 5.5-inch, 700-nit FHD screen with DJI Fly preinstalled. No phone cables to fiddle with, and your phone stays free.
Both use the O4 link, up to 13 km (FCC). Details in Flip controllers.
Batteries and charging
One battery gives about 25 minutes of real flying. Three gives about 75. The hub holds four and charges two at once with a 65W or stronger USB PD charger, about 70 minutes for both. Add a 65W charger to either kit. See Flip charge time.
