Best DJI Flip accessories worth buying

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

The best DJI Flip accessories are spare batteries, the Parallel Charging Hub with a 65W USB-C charger, and a fast microSD card. After that, the DJI RC 2 screen controller, the DJI Flip ND filter set (ND16/64/256) and DJI Mic 2 for audio are the upgrades that change what the Flip can do. Skip add-on guards and light kits: the Flip has full prop guards built in, and extra weight can push it over 249 g.

DJI Flip upgrades that matter
The accessories that change what the Flip can do, in rough order of value. None of DJI's qualified accessories push it over the 249 g C0 limit.

1. Spare batteries

Each DJI Flip Intelligent Flight Battery is 3110 mAh, 22.3 Wh and about 83.5 g, rated for up to 31 minutes. One battery is roughly 25 minutes of real flying. Two spares turn a short session into an afternoon. The Fly More Combo already includes three. See Flip batteries and chargers.

2. Charging hub and a 65W charger

The DJI Flip Parallel Charging Hub holds four batteries and charges two at once when fed by a 65W or stronger USB PD charger, filling two from empty in about 70 minutes. It also works as a power bank for your phone. No Flip kit includes a wall charger, so add the DJI 65W Portable Charger or another 65W PD charger with a 5A cable. Times are in Flip charge time.

3. A fast microSD card

The Flip has only 2 GB of internal storage. DJI recommends Kingston Canvas Go! Plus and Lexar Professional 1066x cards (U3, A2, V30) from 64 to 512 GB. A 128 GB card suits most owners. See Flip SD card.

4. DJI RC 2 controller

The standard kit's RC-N3 uses your phone as the screen. The DJI RC 2 has a built-in bright screen with DJI Fly preinstalled, so you don't tie up your phone. It comes in the Fly More Combo. Compare in Flip controllers.

5. ND filters

The DJI Flip/Lito Series ND Filter Set (ND16/64/256) lets you use slower shutter speeds in daylight for natural motion blur. DJI lists it among the Flip's qualified accessories at 0.34 g per filter. Settings in Flip ND filters.

6. Spare propellers

DJI Flip Propellers come two pairs to a pack with screws. Carry one pack. Fitting them is covered in Flip propellers.

7. Audio: DJI Mic 2

The Flip has no microphone. DJI Fly can record audio while you film through your phone's mic, Bluetooth earbuds or DJI Mic 2, merged into the clip. See Flip audio.

8. A bag

The DJI Flip Shoulder Bag comes in the Fly More Combo and is sold separately. It fits the drone, controller and spare batteries.

What to skip

  • Extra prop guards: the Flip's full guards are built in. See Flip propeller guards.
  • Heavy add-ons: DJI says not to add payload beyond its qualified accessories to keep the C0 rating. A light kit or mount can also take it past 250 g, which means FAA registration. See Flip lights.
  • "Extended" batteries: DJI sells one Flip battery type. Third-party high-capacity packs aren't approved.
  • Goggles: the Flip doesn't work with DJI goggles. See Flip goggles.

Protection

Care Refresh covers crashes, water damage and one flyaway a year for a $39 US damage fee. See Flip protection.

Build your kit around the DJI Flip, or compare kits in Flip Fly More Combo.
