Yes. In 2026 the Osmo Pocket 3 is still one of the best vlogging cameras you can buy in the US: a 1-inch sensor on a 3-axis mechanical gimbal, 4K/120 and 10-bit D-Log M, face tracking and a 2-inch rotating screen, in a 179 g camera. The newer Pocket 4 isn't sold in the US, so the Pocket 3 is the one you can buy here with US warranty. Its weak spots are modest battery life, no built-in storage, 9.4 MP photos and no waterproofing.

Why people love it
- Image quality. The 1-inch stacked sensor is larger than an action camera's, which shows in dim restaurants, evenings and indoor shots.
- Real gimbal. Mechanical stabilization doesn't crop or smear in low light the way electronic stabilization can.
- Rotating screen. Turn it to switch between horizontal and vertical, or to power on and off.
- Tracking. ActiveTrack 6.0, plus Face Auto-Detect and FT (Selfie) to keep your face centered.
- Audio. Three built-in mics, and direct pairing with up to two DJI Mic 2 or Mic Mini transmitters.
- Fast charging: 80% in 16 minutes with a DJI 65W PD charger (sold separately).
The downsides
- Battery: DJI's 166-minute figure is at 1080p/24 with screen and Wi-Fi off. 4K with the screen on is shorter. See Pocket 3 battery life.
- No internal storage. You need a microSD card.
- Photos are about 9.4 MP. Fine for social, not for big prints.
- Not waterproof. See is the Osmo Pocket 3 waterproof.
- Fragile gimbal. Use the cover in bags.
- Fixed 20 mm lens. Digital zoom only.
What about the Pocket 4?
DJI's Pocket 4 adds 4K/240, more battery and built-in storage, but it launched after the FCC's December 2025 decision and can't be sold in the US. A grey-market unit may not get US warranty service. See Pocket 3 vs Pocket 4.
Updates and support
DJI's Pocket 3 spec page lists guaranteed software updates until December 31, 2026. That doesn't mean the camera stops working after that date; it's how long DJI commits to updates. DJI released its most recent listed firmware in August 2025. Authorized-before-cutoff products like the Pocket 3 stay legal to sell and use in the US.
Who should buy it
- Buy it for YouTube vlogs, travel, family events, talking-head videos, real estate walk-throughs and anyone who wants better video than a phone with little effort.
- Skip it if you'll film in water, on a helmet or handlebars, or in crashes: get the Osmo Action 5 Pro.
- Skip it if your phone's video already satisfies you and you just want it steadier: an Osmo Mobile 6 costs much less.
Standard or Creator Combo?
We sell the Osmo Pocket 3 at $483, or $604 for the Creator Combo with a DJI Mic transmitter, wide-angle lens, battery handle and mini tripod. See is the Creator Combo worth it.
