DJI Matrice 350 RTK: specs, uses and pricing

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

The DJI Matrice 350 RTK is DJI's proven, weather-sealed payload platform for inspection, mapping and public safety. It carries up to three Zenmuse payloads at once, flies up to 55 minutes without a payload, is rated IP55, and works from -20° to 50° C (-4° to 122° F). Its two TB65 batteries hot-swap so you can fly back-to-back missions without powering down. It's sold by quote, configured with the payloads you need.

DJI Matrice 350 RTK key specs
From DJI's published specs. Flight time is measured without a payload, so expect less with cameras or LiDAR attached.

Compatible payloads

DJI lists these gimbals for the Matrice 350 RTK:

It also supports certified third-party payloads built on DJI's Payload SDK. Because it takes the H20 series and L1, the 350 RTK is the natural choice if your team already owns those payloads.

What it's used for

  • Inspection of power lines, towers, bridges and plants with the H30T's thermal and zoom.
  • Survey and mapping with the L2 LiDAR or P1 camera. See best drone for mapping.
  • Search and rescue and law enforcement with thermal plus the S1 and V1. See best drone for public safety.
  • Multi-sensor missions, such as a zoom camera plus a spotlight on one flight.

Batteries and charging

The TB65 batteries hot-swap, auto-heat in the cold and are rated for up to 400 cycles, according to DJI. The battery station charges two TB65s fully in about 60 minutes on 220 V or about 70 minutes on 110 V, and from 20% to 90% in about 40 minutes on 110 V. At 263.2 Wh each, TB65s are far above the 160 Wh limit for passenger flights, so plan to drive them to job sites.

The RC Plus runs about 3.3 hours on its internal battery and about 6 hours with an external WB37 battery, which also hot-swaps.

Do you need to register it?

Yes. Register it with the FAA ($5, valid 3 years) and broadcast Remote ID. At a 9.2 kg max takeoff weight (about 20 lb), it stays under the 55 lb Part 107 limit, so commercial flights need a Part 107 certificate. Agencies may fly under a public-aircraft Certificate of Waiver or Authorization instead.

Matrice 350 RTK vs Matrice 400

Matrice 350 RTK Matrice 400
Payload 960 g per gimbal damper 6 kg total
Max flight time 55 min (no payload) 59 min (with H30T)
Batteries Two TB65 One TB100
Obstacle sensing Vision + infrared LiDAR + mmWave radar
Video link (FCC) 20 km 40 km
H20 series and L1 Supported Not listed

The Matrice 400 is the newer, more capable platform. The 350 RTK still makes sense for teams with existing payloads and batteries. Full comparison: Matrice 350 RTK vs Matrice 400.

2026 buying notes

Already-authorized DJI enterprise models remain legal to buy and fly in the US. The FCC's July 2026 proposal covering thermal, LiDAR and other drone categories had not been adopted as of October 2026, and imported drones carry a Section 232 tariff. See is DJI banned in the US.

Common mistakes

  • Comparing flight time with a payload attached. DJI's 55 minutes is with no payload. Heavier payloads cut it significantly.
  • Too few battery pairs. Every flight uses two TB65s.
  • Treating vision sensing as wire detection. Vision sensors need light and texture and can miss thin wires. Plan routes around lines.
