The most expensive DJI drone with a public price is the DJI Inspire 3, listed at $16,499 on DJI's US store in October 2026. It's a cinema drone with a full-frame 8K camera, built for film and TV crews. DJI's big enterprise and agriculture drones, like the Matrice 400 and Agras T100, are sold by dealer quote, and a complete kit with payloads, batteries and chargers can cost more than an Inspire 3.

Why the Inspire 3 costs so much
- Full-frame camera. The Zenmuse X9-8K Air shoots 8K/75fps Apple ProRes RAW and 8K/25fps CinemaDNG on interchangeable lenses.
- Two-operator setup. One pilot flies while a camera operator controls the gimbal on a second controller.
- Pro build. About 4.0 kg, retracting landing gear, omnidirectional obstacle sensing and RTK positioning.

Quote-only DJI drones
These aren't sold at a list price on DJI's consumer store. The final cost depends on the configuration:
| Drone | What it does | What adds cost |
|---|---|---|
| Matrice 400 | Enterprise flagship, up to 6 kg payload, 59 min rated | Zenmuse payloads, batteries, RTK |
| Matrice 350 RTK | Enterprise workhorse | Payloads such as L2 LiDAR or H30T |
| Agras T100 | 100 L spray tank, 175 kg max spraying takeoff weight | Batteries, generator, spreading kit |
| FlyCart 30 | Cargo delivery, up to 30 kg (dual battery) | Winch kit, batteries |
A survey or public safety package with a LiDAR or thermal payload, spare batteries and a charging station can reach well into five figures. Contact a dealer for a real quote.
The most expensive consumer DJI drone
For consumer drones, the top of the range is the DJI Mavic 4 Pro, with a 4/3 Hasselblad 100 MP camera plus 70 mm and 168 mm tele cameras and 6K/60fps HDR video. It costs a fraction of an Inspire 3 and is far easier to carry and fly.
Is the most expensive drone the best for you?
Probably not. An Inspire 3 needs a crew, a big case and, under Part 107, careful planning. At about 4 kg it must be registered and flown by a certificated pilot for any paid work. Most photographers and creators get better results from a drone they'll actually take with them. Compare models in our compare tool, or read best drone for videography.
Buying high-end DJI in the US
Models authorized by the FCC before December 2025, including the Inspire 3, Matrice 400 and Agras line, remain legal to buy and fly. Imported drones now carry a Section 232 tariff, and a July 2026 FCC proposal could restrict import and sale of some enterprise and spray drones. See is DJI banned in the US.
