The Standard kit gets you the camera, one battery and the basic mount. The Adventure Combo adds two more Extreme Battery Plus batteries, the Multifunctional Battery Case 2, the Osmo 1.5 m Extension Rod and an extra mini quick-release mount, for $110 more at our prices. If you'd buy a spare battery and a selfie stick anyway, the Adventure Combo is the better deal.

Neither kit includes a charger, a microSD card or a carry bag. The camera has 47 GB of usable built-in storage, so you can shoot before buying a card.
Is the Adventure Combo worth it?
Do the math at our prices: two spare Extreme Battery Plus batteries at $54 each plus the 1.5 m Extension Rod Kit at $76 already comes to $184, more than the $110 difference, before you count the battery case.
Get the Adventure Combo if you:
- Shoot all day: skiing, travel, motovlogs, long hikes.
- Want selfie and third-person angles. DJI's InvisiStick feature, which hides the stick in DJI Mimo, works best with the 1.5 m rod.
- Like charging everything from one USB-C port. The case also stores two microSD cards and can top up your phone.
Get the Standard kit if you:
- Mostly film short clips on a helmet or handlebar.
- Already own Osmo Action batteries (the Extreme Battery Plus also fits the Action 4 and Action 3).
- Want to spend the difference on a sport mount instead.
DJI's other bundles
DJI also sells activity kits in some regions, each built on the Standard contents plus one accessory set: Road Cycling, Motorcycling/Mountain Cycling (Biking Accessory Kit), Diving (60 m case and floating handle), Surfing, Hiking, Skiing, Neck Mount, Street Photography and Vlog Combos with a DJI Mic transmitter. Names like "Essential" or "Diving Combo" vary by retailer and region, so compare the box list, not the name.
You can build the same kits yourself:
- Bike or motorcycle: add the Biking Accessory Kit. See motorcycle and bike mounts.
- Diving: add the 60 m Waterproof Case.
- Vlogging: add a DJI Mic Mini.
