The best all-round Osmo Pocket 3 vlogging settings are 4K at 30 fps in 16:9 (or 3K 9:16 for vertical), Normal color, auto exposure, Continuous focus, Follow gimbal mode with face tracking on, and a DJI Mic 2 or Mic Mini for your voice. If you color grade, switch to 10-bit D-Log M and use DJI's free D-Log M to Rec.709 LUT.

Gimbal and tracking
- Follow mode (default) for walking vlogs: pan and tilt follow your hand, roll stays level.
- Tilt Locked for smooth pans that keep the horizon and tilt steady.
- FPV mode for action and rolling shots; the camera follows every movement.
- FT (Selfie): turn it on in the control menu and the camera finds and follows your face.
- Rotational Speed: swipe down and tap the walking-person icon. Slower looks smoother; faster keeps up with quick moves.
Image quality tweaks
- Med-Tele mode: a 2x, 40 mm-equivalent view at up to 4K, added in a February 2025 update. Max ISO is 1600 and ActiveTrack isn't available.
- Image Adjustment in Pro mode sets sharpness and noise reduction. Lower sharpness looks more natural.
- Glamour Effects smooth skin in Video mode. You fine-tune them later in DJI Mimo.
- Low-Light mode for dark scenes: 4K or 1080p at 24 to 30 fps, ISO up to 16000.
LUTs: official and free
DJI publishes two free LUT downloads on the Osmo Pocket 3 downloads page:
- DJI OSMO Pocket 3 D-Log M to Rec.709: the technical conversion LUT for D-Log M footage.
- DJI OSMO Pocket 3 Rec.709 to Color Grading LUTs: a pack of creative looks to apply after conversion, or to Normal footage.
Apply the conversion LUT after you set exposure and white balance. See Osmo Pocket 3 D-Log M and D-Log M to Rec.709.
Audio settings
Link a DJI Mic 2 transmitter under Settings, Wireless Mic. Turn on Low Cut to remove rumble and 32-bit float for a backup. Without a mic, use Wind Noise Reduction outdoors and Directional Audio set to Front and Back for vlogging. More in Pocket 3 audio settings.
Handy system settings
- Screen Rotate & Capture: rotate the screen to power on and start shooting.
- Custom modes: save up to five setups, like "walk vlog" and "sit-down."
- Anti-Flicker: set to your power grid frequency (60 Hz in the US) when filming under indoor lights.
- Scrn Off When Rec: saves battery on long takes.
For platform-specific setups, see Pocket 3 settings for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube. Add the DJI Mic 2, or shop the Osmo Pocket 3.
