A DJI Mic Mini that won't connect has usually lost its link to the receiver, or is connected over Bluetooth to something else. Put both transmitters and the receiver in the charging case to relink them, then check that the transmitter lights are solid green. If the link is fine but there's no sound, the problem is the receiver's connection to your phone, camera or computer.

Not syncing with the receiver
- Relink in the case. DJI says placing the transmitters and receiver in the charging case links them automatically.
- Link manually. Hold the transmitter's linking button for two seconds until it blinks blue and green. Then hold the receiver's linking button for two seconds until the transmitter LED on the receiver blinks green quickly. Both turn solid green when linked.
- Free it from Bluetooth. A transmitter showing solid blue is connected to a phone or DJI camera. Turn off Bluetooth on that device.
- Update firmware. DJI's manual says to update to the latest firmware before first use. Do it in the DJI Mimo app: see DJI Mic Mini firmware update.
More detail is in how to pair DJI Mic Mini.
No sound or not recording
The Mic Mini sends audio to whatever the receiver is plugged into. It doesn't record internally, so if the device isn't capturing it, nothing is saved.
- Phone: attach the receiver with the phone adapter. DJI notes the Lightning adapter is sold separately, so older iPhones need it. Reopen your recording app after the receiver is connected.
- Camera: use the 3.5 mm audio output and the camera's mic input. DJI recommends lowering the camera's gain and raising the receiver gain with the dial.
- Channel mode: press the receiver's linking button twice to switch between Mono and Stereo. A solid cyan receiver light means Stereo, with one mic per channel.
- Recording button: when the transmitter is connected to a DJI camera or phone, pressing its linking button starts or stops recording on that device.
Not detected or not recognized
- Computer: connect the receiver with the supplied cable or adapter, then choose it as the audio input in your computer's sound settings and in your app.
- DJI Mimo app: the transmitter connects to Mimo over Bluetooth. The receiver can connect to Mimo over Bluetooth only on iOS: with the receiver off, hold its power button for six seconds until its light blinks green then slow blue. On Android, connect through the phone adapter.
- DJI cameras: on an Osmo Pocket 3 or Osmo Action 5 Pro, open the camera's system settings and tap Wireless Microphone to link the transmitter directly. Update the camera firmware first.
Not charging
Seat each unit in the case so its contacts touch, and charge the case by USB-C if its LEDs are dark. The four case LEDs blink in sequence while charging and turn off when full. Kits without a case use a charging dock and cable instead. A transmitter blinks green or blue one to four times while charging and turns off when full. DJI says to fully charge at least once every three months.
Still not working
Restart every unit, relink in the case, and update firmware. If one transmitter still won't link or charge, contact DJI or start a repair.
