Buy the DJI Power 2000 for home backup, RVs and long shoots: 2048 Wh, 3000 W output, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for the DJI Home app, and expansion up to 22.5 kWh with extra batteries. Buy the DJI Power 1000 if you need something you can actually carry for camping, car trips and drone days: 1024 Wh and 2200 W continuous in a 13 kg box. The newer Power 1000 V2 keeps 1024 Wh but adds app control and better cycle life; DJI doesn't list it on its US store.

Runtime: what the extra capacity means
Double the watt-hours means roughly double the runtime at the same load. As a rough guide, a 100 W load (a fridge averaging that, or a laptop and lights) runs about twice as long on the Power 2000. Real runtime is lower than Wh ÷ watts because of inverter losses. See Power 2000 capacity and run time.
Output: what each can run
The Power 2000's 3000 W covers almost any household appliance, including microwaves and induction cooktops. The Power 1000's 2200 W continuous handles most kitchen and power tools, with a 4400 W peak for motor startup. If you need to run two big loads at once, the Power 2000 has more headroom.
Portability
At about 22 kg, the Power 2000 is a two-hands lift for most people. The Power 1000 at about 13 kg is easier to put in a car. See Power 2000 weight and portability.
For drone pilots
Both have SDC ports for DJI's fast-charge cables (sold separately) for supported drone batteries, so you can recharge in the field. Check the cable list for your drone before you buy.
Which should you buy?
- Home outage backup, RV, off-grid cabin: Power 2000, plus an Expansion Battery 2000 for long outages.
- Camping, tailgates, drone and video shoots: Power 1000.
- Want app control in a 1 kWh size: the Power 1000 V2 if you can buy it locally; it isn't on DJI's US store.
