DJI Mavic 3 Classic Fly More Combo vs standard: which kit to buy

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

For most buyers the Mavic 3 Classic Fly More Combo is the better value. At $2,149 it adds the DJI RC screen controller, two extra batteries, the 100W charging hub and a carrying bag to the $1,407 standard kit. Buying two batteries ($350) and the hub ($98) separately would bring the standard kit to $1,855, still without the screen controller or bag. Pick the standard kit only if you'll fly one battery at a time or already own Mavic 3 batteries.

Our current kits. Buying the extra batteries and hub separately costs about as much as the combo, without the DJI RC screen controller or the bag.

The math on the Fly More Combo

Standard kit plus Cost
Standard kit $1,407
2 extra Mavic 3 Series batteries at $175 $350
100W charging hub $98
Total $1,855

For $294 more, the combo includes all of that plus the DJI RC and a bag. If you want the screen controller and plan to fly more than one battery per outing, the combo makes sense.

RC-N1 or DJI RC?

  • RC-N1: uses your phone as the screen. Cheaper, and phones can be bright, but calls and notifications can interrupt flights, and you need DJI Fly running in the foreground.
  • DJI RC: a built-in screen with DJI Fly preinstalled and its own GNSS, so it's ready the moment it powers on.

Neither uses the newer RC-N3 or RC 2 standard. See Mavic 3 Classic controllers.

DJI's own Classic versions

DJI sells the Classic in three versions: Drone Only (no controller or charger), with RC-N1, and with DJI RC. Our Fly More Combo builds on the DJI RC version with extra batteries, the hub and a bag. If you already own a Mavic 3 series controller and charger, see Mavic 3 Classic drone only.

Mavic 3 Classic vs Mavic 3 Cine

They're different drones, not different kits. From DJI's FAQ:

  • Mavic 3 Classic: one 4/3 Hasselblad camera.
  • Mavic 3: adds a 162 mm tele camera.
  • Mavic 3 Cine: the Mavic 3 plus Apple ProRes recording and a built-in 1TB SSD.

For a multi-camera drone today, look at the Mavic 3 Pro. Comparison in Mavic 3 Classic vs Mavic 3 Pro.

What about a drop kit?

DJI doesn't make a payload drop kit for the Mavic 3 Classic. Third-party release mechanisms add weight that shortens flight time and can upset balance, and damage they cause isn't covered by DJI or Care Refresh. Part 107 also bans dropping objects in a way that creates an undue hazard to people or property. If you need delivery or drops, talk to us about purpose-built options in our delivery collection.

Which should you buy?

  • Fly More Combo: most buyers, especially for travel, shoots and longer outings.
  • Standard kit: if you already own batteries and a hub, or fly only occasionally.
