How to transfer DJI Mavic 3 Pro photos and videos to your phone or computer

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

To get DJI Mavic 3 Pro footage onto your phone, use QuickTransfer: power on the drone, turn on your phone's Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and location, open DJI Fly and tap Connect when the prompt appears. The first time, hold the drone's power button for two seconds to confirm. For long 5.1K or 4K clips, it's often faster to plug the drone into a computer with USB-C or pull the microSD card.

Mavic 3 Pro transfer speeds
DJI's maximum QuickTransfer rates. The 80 MB/s figure needs a Wi-Fi 6 phone on 5.8 GHz, footage on the drone's internal storage and no interference.

QuickTransfer to iPhone or Android

From DJI's Mavic 3 Pro manual:

  1. Power on the drone and wait for the self-check to finish.
  2. On your phone, turn on Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and location services.
  3. Open DJI Fly. A prompt appears to connect to the aircraft. Tap Connect.
  4. First connection only: press and hold the drone's power button for two seconds.
  5. Browse the album and download what you need.

You don't type a Wi-Fi password. QuickTransfer works without the controller.

How fast is it?

DJI rates QuickTransfer at up to 80 MB/s, but only when the phone supports 5.8 GHz and Wi-Fi 6, the files are on the drone's internal storage, and there's no interference. If your phone or country can't use 5.8 GHz, it falls back to 2.4 GHz at up to 10 MB/s. Keep the phone close to the drone and away from routers, Bluetooth speakers and headphones.

Connect to your phone for flying

QuickTransfer is only for files. To fly, you use the DJI RC or DJI RC Pro (DJI Fly is built in), or a phone in an RC-N1. See Mavic 3 Pro app.

Copy to a computer

USB-C cable: connect the drone's USB-C port to the computer with a data cable and power on the drone. DJI's manual notes footage can't be copied with the drone off. Copy from the internal storage or the microSD card.

Card reader: power off, remove the microSD card and use a USB reader. Never pull the card while recording.

Mavic 3 Pro Cine: footage on the built-in 1TB SSD comes off through the DJI 10Gbps Lightspeed Data Cable, DJI's fast route for Apple ProRes files.

Where your files are

The standard Mavic 3 Pro has 8 GB of internal storage plus a microSD slot. DJI says single video recordings are limited to 30 minutes. For long shoots, use a large, fast card. See Mavic 3 Pro SD card.

QuickTransfer not connecting?

  1. Turn on location services. QuickTransfer needs it.
  2. Make sure the motors are off and the self-check finished.
  3. Restart the drone and DJI Fly, then reconnect.
  4. Forget old DJI Wi-Fi entries in your phone settings if it keeps failing.
  5. Update DJI Fly and the drone. See Mavic 3 Pro firmware update.

More fixes are in DJI QuickTransfer not working. For other models, see transfer photos from a DJI drone.
