No. The DJI Mavic 3 Pro is not waterproof or water-resistant. DJI publishes no IP rating for it, and the manual says not to fly in severe weather including rain, snow and fog, or in winds over 12 m/s. A few drops may not kill it, but water can short the electronics, fog the cameras and blind the vision sensors. If it rains, land as soon as you safely can.

What DJI says
From the Mavic 3 Pro manual:
- Don't fly in severe weather, including wind over 12 m/s, snow, rain and fog.
- Don't fly when it's rainy, smoggy or visibility is under 100 m, because the vision systems can't work properly.
- Keep the vision and infrared sensor glass clean; wipe off water with a soft cloth.
- The downward vision system may not work properly over water, so the drone may not avoid water below it when landing.
There's no IP rating on the Mavic 3 Pro spec sheet. Don't confuse it with enterprise drones that do carry one.
If your Mavic 3 Pro gets wet
- Land and power off right away. Remove the battery.
- Don't power it on to "check". That's when a short circuit does damage.
- Wipe it down with a soft, dry cloth, including the camera glass and sensors.
- Let it dry fully in a warm, dry room with good airflow for at least a day or two. Don't use a hair dryer or oven.
- Inspect before flying. Look for fogging inside the lenses, corrosion on battery contacts, or error messages.
If it went into the water, don't try to fly it again. Salt water is especially damaging. Read drone fell in water and contact our repair desk.
Flying over water
Flying over lakes, rivers and the ocean is legal and popular, but take care:
- Don't rely on downward sensing over water; DJI says it may not work there. DJI also says not to take off from moving objects such as boats.
- Set RTH altitude above any masts, cliffs or bridges on the way back.
- Watch the battery and the wind, which is often stronger over open water.
- Fly from shore with a clear, dry landing spot planned before takeoff.

Better options for wet weather
The Mavic 3 Pro is a fair-weather camera. For work in rain or spray, you need an enterprise drone built with an IP rating. Contact us for advice. For the general rules, read can you fly a drone in the rain.
