You can buy a DJI Mini 5 Pro in the US from dealers that have stock, including us, but not from DJI's US store, because DJI never officially launched it here. It's legal to buy, own and fly. Big-box chains like Best Buy, Costco and Walmart don't reliably carry it, and Amazon and eBay listings vary widely in origin. Buy from a seller who will stand behind the unit, and check whether a US Care Refresh plan is available before you count on one.
Why it's scarce
The Mini 5 Pro was FCC-authorized before the December 2025 Covered List decision, so it isn't banned. DJI held back its US launch in 2025, citing import difficulties and tariffs, so units reach US dealers through other channels and supply is irregular. Full details: Mini 5 Pro in the USA.

Where else you'll see it
Big-box stores and warehouse clubs. Without a DJI US launch, these chains generally don't have a steady supply. If you see one, confirm the store itself is the seller.
Amazon and Walmart marketplace. Third-party sellers list imported units. Check "Sold by," seller ratings and the return policy.
eBay. Lots of listings, including used and international units. Scarce, popular drones attract scams.
Warranty and protection
- Care Refresh isn't a given. Coverage and prices vary by model, so check DJI's Care Refresh page or ask us about a US plan.
- Warranty service can depend on where the unit was first sold. Ask the seller before you buy. See DJI warranty in the USA.

Red flags
- A "new" Mini 5 Pro far below the normal price.
- Shops you've never heard of with countdown timers and huge discounts.
- Payment only by wire, gift card or crypto.
If you want full US support instead

Accessories worth adding
An ND filter set (ND8/32/128) for $61 is the most useful first add-on for video. At 249.9 g with the standard battery, recreational pilots don't register it, but you still need the TRUST test.
