Yes. The DJI Mini 4 Pro is legal to buy, own and fly in the US. It was authorized by the FCC before the December 2025 decision that added DJI to the FCC's Covered List, and that decision only blocks new models. What has changed is supply: stock is tighter and prices are under pressure from 2026 import tariffs, so it can be hard to find. Our price is $835 for the standard kit and $1,209 for the Fly More Combo.

Why people think it's "not available"
- Out-of-stock listings. DJI's own US store has shown the Mini 4 Pro kits as out of stock or not available at times in 2026.
- The FCC Covered List. In December 2025 the FCC added foreign-made drones, including DJI, to its Covered List. New DJI models can't get FCC authorization, but already-authorized models like the Mini 4 Pro stay legal.
- Tariffs. Since September 3, 2026, imported drones carry a Section 232 tariff, which affects pricing and how much stock dealers bring in.
- Newer models confusion. Some newer DJI drones never launched officially in the US. That doesn't apply to the Mini 4 Pro, which DJI sold in the US from launch.

Will it keep working?
Yes. No owner is required to stop flying a DJI drone. In May 2026 the FCC extended firmware and software updates for already-authorized drones to January 1, 2029. Separately, DJI's spec page lists guaranteed software updates for the Mini 4 Pro through December 31, 2026. Keep the app and firmware current; see Mini 4 Pro firmware update.
Is the US version different?
The US (FCC) version uses higher transmitter power, which is why DJI quotes a 20 km range under FCC conditions versus 10 km under CE rules. A few features differ by region:
- 4G Enhanced Transmission with the DJI Cellular Dongle 2 isn't supported in the US, according to DJI.
- Remote ID turns on automatically when you use the Battery Plus. See Mini 4 Pro Remote ID.
Buy from an authorized dealer
Grey-market imports and marketplace listings are riskier. A drone bought abroad may not get US warranty service, and DJI Care Refresh generally has to be bought in the same country as the drone. We're an Authorized DJI Dealer; every Mini 4 Pro we sell is a genuine US unit. See DJI warranty in the USA.
Rules once you have it
Under 249 g with the standard battery, recreational flights don't need FAA registration, but you must pass the free TRUST test. Commercial work needs a Part 107 certificate.
