The DJI Mini 5 Pro accessories worth buying first are spare batteries, a USB-C PD charger, the Two-Way Charging Hub and a fast microSD card. Then add ND filters for smoother video and, if you bought the standard kit, the DJI RC 2 screen controller. The Fly More Combo already includes three batteries, the hub, ND filters and a shoulder bag, so check what you have before you shop.

1. Spare batteries
One standard battery gives up to 36 minutes rated, and real flights are shorter. Most owners want three. The Mini 5 Pro uses its own battery (model BWXNN5-2788-7.0). DJI lists only Mini 5 Pro batteries as compatible, so don't count on your Mini 4 Pro or Mini 3 batteries. The Intelligent Flight Battery Plus (52 minutes rated) takes the drone over 250 g, so read Mini 5 Pro Battery Plus first.
2. A USB-C PD charger
DJI's box lists for the Mini 5 Pro kits include a USB-C cable but no wall charger. DJI quotes its charge times with the DJI 65W Portable Charger, and the hub only charges two batteries at once with a PD charger of 45 W or more. Details in Mini 5 Pro batteries and chargers.
3. Two-Way Charging Hub
Holds three batteries, charges them in turn (two at a time with a 45 W+ charger), and doubles as a power bank for your phone or controller. It can also move leftover charge into one battery. DJI says it charges three standard batteries in about 115 minutes with the 65 W charger.
4. microSD card
The drone has 42 GB built in, which fills fast at 4K/120. DJI recommends A2 V30 cards from Lexar and Kingston, 64 GB to 1 TB. See best SD card for the Mini 5 Pro.
5. ND filters
The DJI Mini 5 Pro ND Filter Set (ND8, ND32, ND128) lets you use slower shutter speeds in daylight for natural motion blur. Each filter weighs about 1.12 g. DJI lists the set as an approved accessory for the C0 version, so the drone stays in its sub-250 g configuration. See Mini 5 Pro ND filters.
6. A screen controller
The standard kit's RC-N3 uses your phone. The DJI RC 2 has a built-in 5.5-inch screen with DJI Fly preinstalled, so phone calls and notifications don't interrupt a flight. It also unlocks Dynamic Home Point on the Mini 5 Pro. The DJI RC Pro 2 is the premium choice. Compare in Mini 5 Pro controllers.
7. Bag and landing pad
The Fly More Combo includes a shoulder bag. If you bought the standard kit, the DJI Mini Shoulder Bag holds the drone, controller and three batteries. A folding landing pad keeps grass and sand out of the gimbal and gives the downward sensors a clean surface.
8. Spare propellers and guards
Props are consumables. DJI sells Mini 5 Pro propellers in pairs (6.0 × 2.8 inch, about 2.8 g each). DJI also makes a Quick-Release 360° Propeller Guard with integrated propellers; it needs aircraft firmware v01.00.0400 or later and limits the drone to 120 m height and 500 m distance. See Mini 5 Pro propellers and propeller guards.
Upgrades to skip
- Third-party strobes, mounts and skins. They add weight to a drone designed around 250 g, and DJI warns against adding payloads.
- Non-DJI propellers. DJI says to use only official propellers and not to mix types.
- Lens covers or stickers on sensors. Anything over the vision sensors or the forward LiDAR affects obstacle sensing.
Protection
Care Refresh coverage and prices vary by model, so check DJI's Care Refresh page or ask us about a US plan for the Mini 5 Pro. Drone insurance is the alternative. See Mini 5 Pro protection.
