Best DJI Mini 4 Pro accessories and upgrades worth buying

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

The best DJI Mini 4 Pro accessories are two spare batteries and the Two-Way Charging Hub, then DJI Care Refresh, an ND filter set and a bag. Together those give you about 100 rated minutes of flying per outing, protection against crashes, and smoother video in daylight. If you haven't bought the drone yet, the Fly More Combo already includes the batteries, hub and bag for less than buying them separately.

What to buy first
Our suggested buying order for Mini 4 Pro owners, from most to least useful. Specs from DJI.

1. Spare batteries

One battery is rated for 34 minutes, which means roughly 27 to 29 minutes of real flying. Two spares make a real session. The Mini 4 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery keeps the drone under 249 g. The larger Battery Plus (45 minutes) pushes it over 250 g; see Mini 4 Pro Battery Plus. Full buying guide: Mini 4 Pro batteries and chargers.

2. Two-Way Charging Hub

The Two-Way Charging Hub charges three batteries in sequence, highest level first. With the DJI 30W charger it fills a Mini 4 Pro battery in about 58 minutes, faster than charging in the drone. It also works as a power bank for your phone or controller through its USB-A port.

3. DJI Care Refresh

Care Refresh 1-Year for the Mini 4 Pro gives two replacements in a year for a fee each, including water damage and one flyaway. Buy it within 48 hours of activating the drone. See protecting your Mini 4 Pro.

4. ND filters

The Mini 4 Pro has a fixed aperture, so in bright sun ND filters are the only way to get a natural shutter speed for video. DJI's set is ND16, ND64 and ND256. Settings advice in Mini 4 Pro ND filters.

5. A bag

The DJI Mini Shoulder Bag fits the drone, controller and three batteries. It's included in the Fly More Combo.

6. Propeller guard (for some pilots)

The 360° Propeller Guard is worth it for indoor flying and first flights. It has trade-offs: DJI says obstacle avoidance doesn't work with it fitted, and the drone goes over 250 g. See do you need propeller guards.

Controller upgrades

  • DJI RC 2: a 5.5-inch, 700-nit screen built in, so you don't tie up your phone. It's included in the Fly More Combo.
  • RC-N3: DJI added Mini 4 Pro support in firmware, so it works as a spare phone-based controller.
  • Goggles and motion control: the DJI Goggles 3 with RC Motion 3 give an FPV view, with some feature limits. See Mini 4 Pro goggles.

Other DJI add-ons

  • Wide-Angle Lens: DJI's clip-on lens widens the view to 114° for photos and 100° for 16:9 video.
  • microSD card: you need a fast UHS-I U3 / V30 card. See best SD card for the Mini 4 Pro.
  • Spare propellers: check them before every flight. See Mini 4 Pro propellers.

What to skip

  • Third-party batteries. DJI's charging hub is only rated for DJI's own battery models, and an off-brand cell risks the drone. Stick with genuine.
  • Heavy add-ons. Lights, mounts and trackers add grams. At 249 g there's no room before you cross 250 g.
  • Cellular dongle in the US. DJI lists the US among countries where 4G Enhanced Transmission isn't supported.

"GPS module not detected"?

There's no separate GPS module to buy; the Mini 4 Pro has GPS, Galileo and BeiDou built in. If DJI Fly reports a weak or missing GNSS signal, move to an open area at least 10 m from buildings, give it time to lock, restart the drone and controller, and update the firmware. If it persists, contact our repair team.
