DJI Mic Mini Bluetooth: recording straight to your phone

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

Yes, the DJI Mic Mini has Bluetooth. A transmitter can pair directly with an iPhone or Android phone, no receiver needed: hold its link button for two seconds until the LED blinks blue and green, then select DJI Mic Mini-XXXXXX in the phone's Bluetooth settings. A solid blue LED means it's connected. Over Bluetooth, noise cancelling is fixed at Strong and only one transmitter connects to a phone.

Pair Mic Mini to a phone
DJI's steps for pairing a Mic Mini transmitter directly with a phone. It then works as a Bluetooth microphone for apps that support one.

Pair with a phone

  1. Power on the transmitter (hold the power button for two seconds).
  2. Hold the link button for two seconds until the status LED blinks blue and green alternately.
  3. On the phone, open Bluetooth settings and select DJI Mic Mini-XXXXXX.
  4. The LED turns solid blue when connected.

The transmitter now works as a Bluetooth microphone for third-party recording and live streaming apps.

Limits over phone Bluetooth

  • One transmitter per phone.
  • Noise cancelling is fixed at Strong and can't be changed in DJI Mimo, and low cut isn't available.
  • App support varies. DJI says livestreaming over Bluetooth depends on the app and the phone's OS. Test with Bluetooth earbuds first: if the app uses them as a mic, it should use the Mic Mini.
  • No backup. The Mic Mini has no internal storage.

For two people, better sound control or the most reliable link, use the receiver with a USB-C or Lightning adapter instead. See connect DJI Mic to an iPhone.

Connect to DJI Osmo cameras

Mic Mini transmitters connect directly to DJI's OsmoAudio cameras:

Camera Transmitters
Osmo Pocket 3 Up to two
Osmo Action 5 Pro Up to two
Osmo Action 4 One
Osmo 360 Listed as compatible

On the camera, open system settings, tap Wireless Microphone, and follow the steps. The transmitter LED turns solid blue when connected. Press the transmitter's link button to start and stop recording on the camera, and set noise cancelling on the camera. See Osmo Pocket 3 wireless mic.

Osmo Mobile gimbals

DJI lists the Osmo Mobile 6 as compatible, but it needs a phone: the mic connects to the phone (by receiver or Bluetooth), not to the gimbal. For newer Osmo Mobile models, check DJI's compatibility list on the Mic Mini downloads page.

Mobile receiver option

DJI also sells the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver, a 6.5 g dongle that plugs into a phone's USB-C port and takes up to two Mic Mini transmitters. It gives you two people, noise cancelling levels (Off, Basic, Strong) and more range than Bluetooth, without the full receiver.

Bluetooth not working?

  1. Turn the phone's Bluetooth off and on, then hold link for two seconds again. DJI suggests this if the mic doesn't appear.
  2. Forget the old DJI Mic Mini entry on the phone and pair fresh.
  3. Make sure the transmitter isn't still linked to its receiver nearby; power the receiver off.
  4. Update firmware in DJI Mimo. See Mic Mini firmware update.
