Mostly no. DJI's standard warranty is tied to the region where you bought the product: DJI's After-Sales Policies say warranty service is only available in the DJI service region of purchase, and you need a valid proof of purchase. DJI Care Refresh can't be transferred after purchase, and it must be bought in the same country as the product. International Care Refresh coverage exists only for some handheld products like the Osmo Pocket 3 and DJI RS 4, not for drones.

The standard DJI warranty
From DJI's After-Sales Policies:
- DJI warrants products against material and workmanship defects under normal use, for a period that depends on the product and part.
- The warranty starts the day after delivery. Without an invoice or other proof of purchase, DJI starts it 90 days after the shipping date on its records.
- You need a valid proof of purchase, receipt or order number to get service.
- Warranty service is only available in the DJI service region where you bought the product.
- The policies apply to products bought from DJI authorized retailers for your own use, not for resale.
What it doesn't cover: crashes, water damage and other accidents. That's what Care Refresh is for. See DJI warranty in the USA.
Can the warranty transfer to a new owner?
DJI's policy doesn't spell out transfers to a second owner. It does require proof of purchase, and it treats products bought for resale differently. If you buy a used DJI drone:
- Get the original receipt or order number from the seller.
- Confirm the drone was bought in the US if you'll need US service.
- Check the serial number and any service plan on DJI's site. See check DJI Care status and find your DJI serial number.
- Ask DJI support before you pay if warranty matters to you.
Remember that FAA registration doesn't transfer either; see transfer drone registration.
Is DJI Care Refresh transferable?
DJI's help center says plainly: DJI Care Refresh cannot be transferred after purchase. It's bound to the product's serial number when you activate it. If DJI replaces your product under the plan, the replacement is bound automatically and inherits the remaining service.
DJI Care Refresh international (Care Global)
DJI says international coverage applies only to listed products, mostly handhelds. The list includes the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Mobile 6, DJI RS 4 and RS 4 Mini, among others, when bought from DJI or an authorized channel with proof of purchase. Drones aren't on the list, so a drone plan works only in the country where you bought it.
US availability
Care Refresh is still sold in the US for many products, like the Mini 4 Pro, Air 3S, Avata 2 and Osmo Pocket 3. Coverage and prices vary by model; for others, such as the Mini 5 Pro and Mavic 4 Pro, check DJI's Care Refresh page or ask us. Details in is DJI Care Refresh available in the US.
Is DJI Care worth it?
For new pilots, small drones and anyone flying over water, usually yes: one replacement typically costs far less than a new drone. For experienced pilots with a backup drone, insurance may suit better. Compare in DJI Care Refresh vs drone insurance and read DJI Care Refresh explained.
