DJI Mavic 4 Pro propellers: replacement, quiet props and installation

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

The DJI Mavic 4 Pro uses one propeller type: model 1158F, 10.5 x 5.8 inches (26.7 x 14.7 cm), 11.8 g per prop. DJI sells them as the Mavic 4 Pro Propellers, in pairs. They mount by pressing down and twisting, with no tools, and each prop must go on the motor with the matching mark.

Mavic 4 Pro props mount by pressing down and twisting, per DJI's manual. Each prop goes on the motor with the matching mark, or the drone won't fly properly.

Which props fit

Prop Fits the Mavic 4 Pro? Notes
DJI Mavic 4 Pro Propellers Yes Genuine DJI 1158F, sold in pairs
Mavic 3 series props No Different size and mount
Air or Mini props No Far too small
Third-party "quiet" props Not recommended DJI says use official props only

DJI's Mavic 4 Pro manual lists the 1158F prop as the only qualified propeller, and the propellers and battery as the only spare and replacement parts.

Are there quieter propellers for the Mavic 4 Pro?

No official ones. DJI makes a single propeller for this drone and says each blade is dynamically balanced for efficiency and lower noise. There's no separate "low-noise" version to upgrade to.

Aftermarket props sold as quieter or "stealth" can differ in pitch, weight and balance. That changes thrust, efficiency and how the drone handles wind, and DJI's manual is clear: only use official DJI propellers and never mix prop types. In the EU, using non-qualified props also takes the drone out of its C2 class. We sell genuine DJI props only.

If noise is the concern, fly a little higher and farther from people (within the rules), and avoid long hovers over a crowd or a backyard. For reference, DJI's C2 label lists a sound power level of 83 dB and a maximum prop speed of 8,400 RPM.

How to install Mavic 4 Pro propellers

  1. Power off and remove the battery.
  2. Read the marks. DJI's manual shows two prop types, marked A and B, and matching A and B marks by the motors. Each prop goes on the motor with its own mark.
  3. Attach: set the prop on the motor, press it down, and twist it in the lock direction shown until it seats.
  4. Check: tug gently. It shouldn't lift or wobble.
  5. Spin-check: unfold the blades and turn each prop by hand. It should spin freely and sit level.

To remove one, press it down and twist the other way. Swapped props are a common cause of flips on takeoff. See drone flips on takeoff.

When to replace a prop

  • Any chip, crack or nick, even at the tip
  • A bent or warped blade
  • A prop that won't lock firmly
  • After any crash or prop strike, even if it looks fine

DJI calls props consumable parts. Don't squeeze or bend them in transport, and put the storage cover on when the drone is packed, adjusting the blades so they sit flat. A damaged prop causes vibration, which shows up as shaky video and motor warnings. Keep a spare pair in the bag.

If a motor feels rough or makes noise after a crash, stop flying and read Mavic 4 Pro repair. General steps for every model are in how to change DJI propellers.

Propeller guard

The Mavic 4 Pro Propeller Guard is for close work near structures or people. DJI lists it at 94 g per side, 188 g for the set. Expect shorter flights, and note DJI cuts the maximum takeoff altitude from 6,000 m to 3,000 m with the guards on. Obstacle bypass's Nifty mode doesn't work properly with the guard fitted.
