Best DJI Neo accessories worth buying

UPDATED OCTOBER 2026

The best DJI Neo accessories are spare batteries and the Two-Way Charging Hub, because one battery lasts only about 18 minutes. Next come a 65W USB-C charger (no kit includes one), the RC-N3 controller for range and Return to Home, and goggles with the RC Motion 3 if you want FPV. A DJI Mic 2 fixes the Neo's biggest gap: it has no microphone.

DJI Neo upgrades that matter
The add-ons that change what the Neo can do, roughly in order of value. All are DJI products listed as compatible with the Neo.

1. Spare batteries

The DJI Neo Intelligent Flight Battery ($65) is 1435 mAh, about 45 g, and rated for about 18 minutes. It's the only battery DJI lists for the Neo. Two spares give you about 54 rated minutes per outing.

2. Two-Way Charging Hub

The DJI Neo Two-Way Charging Hub ($38) charges three batteries in about 60 minutes with a charger over 45 W, stores them together, and works as a power bank for your phone.

3. A 65W USB-C charger

No Neo kit includes a wall charger. DJI recommends its 65W Portable Charger for the hub, or its 30W USB-C Charger for charging in the drone. Any good USB PD charger works.

4. RC-N3 controller

The RC-N3 lifts the 50 m and 30 m palm and phone limits, and adds Return to Home, Sport and Cine modes, ActiveTrack, POI and QuickShots. It's included in the Fly More Combo, which is cheaper than buying the extras one by one.

5. Goggles and RC Motion 3 for FPV

Goggles N3 ($252) and the RC Motion 3 ($109) turn the Neo into an immersive FPV drone, with Easy ACRO flips and rolls. Goggles 3 are the premium option.

6. DJI Mic 2 for audio

The Neo has no mic. In DJI Fly, a DJI Mic 2 records your voice while the Neo films, and the app merges the audio.

7. Spare propellers and guards

DJI sells Neo propellers and propeller guards as spares. Props are consumables; keep a pair and the screwdriver in your bag. See Neo propellers.

What about ELRS and other upgrades?

People search for "DJI Neo ELRS" because some FPV pilots want to fly it with their own radio. DJI doesn't support ExpressLRS or other third-party radio links on the Neo; its supported controllers are the RC-N3, RC-N2, DJI RC 2, RC Motion 3 and FPV Remote Controller 3. Adding a receiver means opening and modifying the drone, which DJI says not to do. It can also affect warranty and DJI Care Refresh claims. The same goes for third-party batteries, props and bolt-on lights.

What to skip

  • SD cards: the Neo has 22 GB built in and no card slot.
  • ND filters: DJI doesn't sell them for the Neo.
  • Heavy cases or strap-on mounts that press on the propellers. DJI warns squeezed props deform.

Start with the DJI Neo Fly More Combo, which bundles two spare batteries, the charging hub and the RC-N3.
