The DJI Avata 2 accessories worth buying are spare batteries, the Two-Way Charging Hub, spare propellers and DJI Care Refresh, in that order. After that, add DJI's ND filter set and a bag that fits the whole kit. Popular FPV mods like ELRS receivers, antenna swaps and motor upgrades don't apply to the Avata 2, which runs only on DJI's own O4 system.

1. Spare batteries
One Avata 2 battery ($109) gives up to 23 rated minutes, and real FPV flying uses it faster. Two or three batteries make an outing worthwhile. Each is 2150 mAh, 31.7 Wh and about 145 g. See Avata 2 batteries and chargers.
2. Two-Way Charging Hub
The Two-Way Charging Hub ($65) charges three batteries in sequence, about 45 minutes each with DJI's 65W charger, versus about 88 minutes charging inside the drone. It also moves leftover charge into one battery and works as a power bank for your goggles or phone.
3. Propellers
Props are consumables on an FPV drone. The Avata 2 Propellers ($10) come as two pairs with eight screws. DJI recommends new screws every time you change props. Keep a set in your bag.
4. DJI Care Refresh
FPV means crashes. Care Refresh 1-Year (Avata 2) ($76) gives two replacements in a year for DJI's $49 US damage fee each, covers water damage, and one replacement can be a flyaway. Buy it within 48 hours of activation. See Avata 2 protection.
5. ND filters
DJI's ND8/16/32 set clips over the camera and slows the shutter for natural motion blur in daylight. Our Avata 2 ND filter guide explains which to use.
6. A bag for the whole kit
The DJI Sling Bag ($98) holds the Avata 2, Goggles 3, RC Motion 3, the hub and three batteries.
7. Controller and goggles upgrades
- RC Motion 3 ($109): the easiest way to fly, with Easy ACRO.
- DJI FPV Remote Controller 3: stick control and the only way to fly Manual (acro) mode.
- Goggles N3 ($252) as a cheaper or second headset, or Goggles 3 ($549) for the best view.
See Avata 2 controllers and Avata 2 goggles.
What about ELRS, GPS, antenna and motor mods?
- ELRS: not supported. The Avata 2 links only with DJI goggles and DJI controllers over O4. You can't add a third-party receiver.
- GPS module: not needed. The Avata 2 already has GNSS (GPS, Galileo and BeiDou) built in for RTH and position hold.
- Antennas: the drone's antennas are internal. Third-party goggles antennas exist, but DJI doesn't support them, and range is already up to 13 km (FCC).
- Motor upgrades: none from DJI. Opening the drone to swap motors can void the warranty and Care Refresh.
If you want to tinker, build a custom quad with the DJI O4 Air Unit instead. See build an FPV drone.
Skip these
- Heavy LED kits and camera mounts that cut flight time. See Avata 2 lights.
- No-name batteries. DJI's hub only works with the official battery.
Easiest route: the Fly More Combo bundles extra batteries, the hub and a bag. See Avata 2 combo options, or shop the DJI Avata 2.
