DJI Neo QuickTransfer usually fails because Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or location is off on the phone, another phone is still connected, or you didn't confirm on the drone the first time. Turn on all three settings, keep the phone within 2 m of the Neo, and tap the QuickTransfer card in DJI Fly. The first time, press and hold the Neo's power button to confirm.

How to use QuickTransfer on the Neo
From DJI's Neo manual:
- Power on the Neo and wait for the self-check.
- Turn on Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and location on your phone.
- In DJI Fly, tap the QuickTransfer or Wi-Fi Devices card on the home screen. You can also open Album and tap the icon in the top right.
- Select the Neo. The first time, press and hold its power button to confirm.
If you're already flying from the phone, just open the Album view. You don't need to enter a Wi-Fi password in your phone's settings; DJI Fly handles the connection.
If the phone can't connect
- Permissions. Allow DJI Fly to use Bluetooth, location and (on iPhone) Local Network in your phone's settings.
- Old phone still connected. DJI says to turn off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on the previously connected phone before connecting a new one.
- Goggles plugged in. DJI's goggles notes say the goggles must not be connected to the phone during QuickTransfer.
- Missed confirmation. Restart the Neo and retry, holding the power button when prompted.
- Out of date. Update DJI Fly and the Neo firmware.
If it's slow
DJI rates QuickTransfer at up to 25 MB/s, but only on 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi in a clean environment. The manual says it falls back to 2.4 GHz and a maximum of 6 MB/s if:
- your phone doesn't support 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi
- 5.8 GHz isn't allowed where you are
- there's heavy interference from routers, Bluetooth speakers or headphones
Keep the phone within 2 m (about 6.5 ft) with nothing in between, as DJI recommends, and move away from other wireless gear.
Long album sessions also warm up the Neo. DJI says it switches to ECO mode automatically when it gets hot, which can slow things down. See Neo overheating.
Faster ways to get your files
- USB-C to a computer. DJI's FAQ says you can connect the Neo with a data cable without powering it on, then browse and copy footage. Use a data cable, not a charge-only one.
- Download only what you need. 4K clips are large. Pick your best takes in the album first.
If the phone also won't connect for flying, see Neo not connecting. Other models are covered in DJI QuickTransfer not working, and the Neo guide and DJI Neo product page have the full specs.
