Yes, the DJI Power 2000 has an app: DJI Home, free for iOS and Android. The power station has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so you connect it directly from your phone with no dongle. Once it's on your home Wi-Fi, you can switch AC output on or off, change settings, check expansion batteries and chargers, and update firmware from anywhere.

How to set it up
- Download DJI Home from the App Store, Google Play, or DJI's download page (the QR code in the manual points to it).
- Turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on your phone.
- Power on the Power 2000: press and hold the power button for at least 2 seconds.
- Open DJI Home and follow the prompts to add the device.
- Connect it to your Wi-Fi when the app asks, so you can reach it away from home.
The Wi-Fi icon on the power station's screen is solid when connected and blinks when Wi-Fi isn't connected or available.
Warranty tip: DJI's US store says the Power 2000 has a 3-year warranty by default, and you get 2 more years by downloading DJI Home and completing the first connection. DJI's product page lists the total as up to 5 years.
What you can do in DJI Home
- Turn AC output on or off remotely.
- Monitor battery level, input and output power, and remaining time.
- Set timeouts: AC Timeout (AC output shuts off after 30 minutes with no AC load by default) and Device Timeout.
- Super Recharging: a higher AC recharge power to reach your charge limit faster.
- Energy Management: set a backup reserve level and choose how solar, car and grid charging are combined.
- Energy Optimization: schedule charging in off-peak hours and discharging in peak hours. A Grid-Tied ESS mode exists for homes with solar, but DJI says it's only supported in some countries and regions.
- View expansion batteries and Super Fast Chargers connected to the station.
- Read error codes and their fixes. See DJI power station error codes.
- Update firmware, including connected accessories.
Wi-Fi details
The Power 2000's Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only (802.11 b/g/n), with Bluetooth 5.0. If it won't join your network:
- Make sure your router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network. Mesh systems that merge bands can confuse setup.
- Stand near the station and router during setup.
- Restart the station and the app, then try again.
- Update DJI Home to the latest version.
Turning off Wi-Fi: the power station works fully without the app or a network. All main functions (power, AC output, recharge mode) are on its front buttons and switch. DJI's manual doesn't describe a separate Wi-Fi off switch, so if you'd rather keep it offline, simply don't join it to a network. Note that some features, like Energy Optimization and firmware updates through the app, need Wi-Fi and internet.
Do I need the DJI Power Dongle?
No. The DJI Power Dongle adds app connectivity to the Power 1000, which lacks built-in Wi-Fi. The Power 2000 connects to the network directly. DJI also notes the dongle can't plug into an expansion battery.
Is there an API?
DJI doesn't publish a public API or local integration for the Power 2000 in its documentation. Control is through DJI Home and the station's buttons. Smart home or Home Assistant setups would rely on unofficial methods, which DJI doesn't support.
Firmware updates without the app
You can also update by computer with DJI Assistant 2 (Power Series): power off, hold the AC button and power button together until the USB-C icon blinks, then connect the designated USB-C port to your computer. Full steps are in our Power 2000 setup guide.
