The Osmo Pocket 3 is a pocket-sized 4K camera on a built-in 3-axis gimbal, made for vlogging, travel and walk-and-talk video. Its headline specs are a 1-inch CMOS sensor, a 20 mm equivalent f/2.0 lens, 4K video up to 120 fps, 10-bit D-Log M and HLG color, three microphones, a 2-inch rotating touchscreen, and up to 166 minutes of battery life, all in 179 g.

Max bitrate is 130 Mbps, saved as MP4 (H.264 or HEVC) to a microSD card up to 1 TB. There's no built-in storage. Yes, it's 4K: 4K/60 for normal video and 4K/120 for slow motion.
Sensor and dynamic range
The 1-inch sensor is a big step from the previous Pocket 2's 1/1.7-inch sensor, which DJI says brings cleaner low-light footage and better high-contrast scenes. DJI doesn't publish a stops figure for dynamic range. What it gives you is 10-bit D-Log M, a flat profile that keeps more highlight and shadow detail for grading, and HLG for HDR TVs. See Osmo Pocket 3 D-Log M.
ISO runs 50 to 6400 for video and up to 16000 in Low-Light Video mode.
How wide is it?
The lens is a 20 mm full-frame equivalent at f/2.0, which is wide enough for arm's-length vlogging. Focus goes as close as 0.2 m. For more width, add the Osmo Pocket 3 Wide-Angle Lens. Digital zoom reaches 2x at 4K and 4x at 1080p; see Osmo Pocket 3 zoom.
Photos
Photos are about 9.4 MP (3840 × 2160 in 16:9) in JPEG or JPEG + DNG RAW, plus 180° and 3×3 panoramas. It's a video-first camera. See Osmo Pocket 3 photos.
Gimbal
A 3-axis mechanical gimbal (pan, tilt, roll). Controllable range is pan -235° to 58°, tilt -120° to 70° and roll ±45°, with ActiveTrack to keep a face in frame. See what is a gimbal camera.
Audio, battery and connections
- Audio: three built-in mics; connects directly to up to two DJI Mic 2 transmitters without a receiver.
- Battery: 1,300 mAh, 166 minutes at 1080p/24 (DJI test); charges to 80% in 16 minutes with a 65 W PD charger.
- Wireless: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 for the DJI Mimo app.
What is it for?
Vloggers, travelers, families and creators who want stabilized 4K without carrying a gimbal and camera. It isn't waterproof; see is the Osmo Pocket 3 waterproof.
