The DJI Avata 2 uses the official DJI Avata 2 Propellers, model 3032S, which are 75.66 mm in diameter and screw onto the motors. A pack has two pairs plus eight M2 x 8.7 mm screws, and you fit them with the small screwdriver that comes with the drone. DJI doesn't make a "quiet" or "upgrade" prop for the Avata 2. Stealth, HQ and colored upgrade props are third-party parts that DJI says not to use.

There are two types. Props with orange marks go on the motors of the marked arms. Props without marks go on the unmarked arms. Mixing them up means the drone won't fly properly.
Every Avata 2 kit includes spare props. Buy more with the DJI Avata 2 Propellers; FPV flying wears them faster than normal photo flights.
How to replace them
- Power off the drone and remove the battery.
- Use the screwdriver from the aircraft package to loosen the screws and lift off the damaged prop. DJI warns that other screwdrivers can strip the screws.
- Discard the broken prop and its screws.
- Fit the new prop on the matching arm (marked or unmarked) and tighten the new screws.
- Spin each prop by hand. It should turn freely without rubbing the guard.
DJI recommends checking that prop screws are tight every 30 hours of flying, which it puts at about 60 flights. For general steps across DJI models, see how to change DJI propellers.
When to replace
Replace a propeller before the next flight if it is chipped, cracked, bent, worn at the tips or loose on its screws. DJI's manual says not to fly aged, chipped or broken props and to land right away if a motor sticks. The built-in guards protect props from light bumps, but a hard crash usually means new props. See Avata 2 crash: what to do.
HQ, "stealth" and colored upgrade props
Searches for "Avata 2 stealth upgrade propellers" in red, black or orange, or "HQ props," lead to third-party products. They are not made or approved by DJI. Before you fit them, know this:
- DJI's position: the manual says to use only official DJI propellers and not to mix propeller types.
- Unverified claims: we can't confirm the noise or efficiency claims sellers make. DJI rates the stock Avata 2 at a sound power level of 81 dB.
- Flight behavior: different pitch or blade shape changes thrust, current draw and how the flight controller responds.
- Europe: DJI says non-qualified replacement props mean the Avata 2 can no longer be used as a C1 aircraft.
- Support: problems caused by unauthorized parts may complicate warranty or repair claims.
If you want a quieter flight, the reliable options are flying in Normal mode, avoiding hard punch-outs, and keeping props undamaged and clean.
Keep props in good shape
- Pack the drone so nothing presses on the props.
- Clean them with a soft, dry cloth.
- Don't take off from grass, sand or gravel that can be sucked into the ducts.
