DJI rates the Mini 4 Pro at 34 minutes of flight per standard battery and 45 minutes with the Intelligent Flight Battery Plus. Those are lab numbers, flown at a steady 21.6 km/h in still air until the battery is empty. In real flying, landing with a safe reserve, expect roughly 27 to 29 minutes from a standard battery. A full charge takes about 70 minutes in the drone or 58 minutes in the charging hub with a 30 W charger.

Rated flight times
| Battery | Max flight time | Max hover time | Drone weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mini 4 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery | 34 min | 30 min | under 249 g |
| Intelligent Flight Battery Plus | 45 min | 39 min | over 249 g |
DJI measured flight time flying forward at 21.6 km/h (13.4 mph) with obstacle avoidance set to Brake, and hover time in a windless lab. Both run from 100% to 0%, which you should never do in practice.
What real-world flight time looks like
- Calm day, relaxed flying, land at 20%: about 27 to 29 minutes.
- Windy day: a lot less. Holding position against wind uses much more power.
- Cold weather: DJI says capacity drops sharply below 41° F (5° C).
- Sport mode and fast climbs: shorter flights.
- Hovering for photos: close to the hover rating, minus your reserve.
The "extended battery"
The Intelligent Flight Battery Plus is DJI's extended option for the Mini 4 Pro (and the Mini 3 series). It adds 11 rated minutes but pushes the drone over 250 g, which means FAA registration and Remote ID, and DJI says not to fly it with a propeller guard. See Mini 4 Pro Battery Plus.
Charging time
| Charging method (DJI 30W charger) | Standard battery | Battery Plus |
|---|---|---|
| In the drone | about 70 min | about 101 min |
| In the Two-Way Charging Hub | about 58 min | about 78 min |
The hub charges three batteries one after another, so a full set takes roughly three hours. More in Mini 4 Pro charge time.
How to get more flight time
- Charge right before you fly. Batteries slowly self-discharge in storage.
- Keep batteries warm in winter. DJI recommends a battery temperature above 68° F (20° C). Power on and let DJI Fly confirm the battery is warmed up before takeoff.
- Fly smoothly. Gentle stick inputs and Normal or Cine mode use less power than Sport.
- Check the wind. Fly upwind first so you return with the wind behind you.
- Carry spares. Three batteries give about 100 rated minutes per outing. The Fly More Combo includes three plus the hub.
Battery health
DJI asks owners to fully charge each battery at least once every three months. Don't charge immediately after flying while the battery is hot. If a battery swells, retire it: see swollen drone battery.
